Choosing baby clothes for your child can be fun, but it is not always fun, and games. Especially for baby girls, girl dresses can be fun to make your child wear because of their cute frills, and designs. In choosing baby clothes, there are more clothes that are practical, and at for babies of different ages.

Most, if not all parents are excited when a new member of the family arrives. A baby might bring you many restless nights, deafened ears (from the baby’s cries), and more. But surely, all these hard work will be compensated by your child’s sweet giggles.

As much as possible we would want our babies to be comfortable, and safe all the time. So we always make sure that they always have what they want and need. Choosing baby clothes can be fun because they all seem cute, especially the girl dresses. Just one trip to your trusted online shop, and voila! You would be introduced to a wealth of cute designs of baby clothes. But before you hit that cart icon, or before you put in that girl dress inside your literal cart, think first what are the right baby clothes for your child. Here is a simple guide:

1. Start with the onesie or wrap shirt.

Onesies are always recommended clothing for babies. Since babies tend to move around a lot, it would be the most advisable if they wear a onesie first. As your baby moves around, their clothing will stay in place. The baby’s back, and tummy will hardly be exposed. Onesies are truly staples in baby clothes because there are snaps at the bottom that will provide less hassle for the parents, and more relaxation for the baby when changing diapers.

2. Consider footies.

Footies are like pants, or trousers that have built-in socks, or coverings for the baby’s feet. This is so your baby would no longer need to wear socks. Little kids, and babies tend to kick off their socks most of the time. It would be okay to buy footies that are slightly bigger than the baby’s size, so even as our baby grows, the footies will fit them just as much. If they happened to have already outgrown footies, you can snip the sock part, and just make it a sock, or pyjama.

3. Add layers.

Babies are fragile creatures that have to be protected always. Consider adding layers to your baby’s clothes to protect them from the cool breeze, especially here in Singapore where the weather can be so fickle. For newborns, wearing long sleeves is the most recommended. This makes them feel cosy, and protected from accidental scrapes.

4. Add accessories.

There are many more baby clothes that can help in making your baby more comfortable like soft skull caps, thin mittens, socks, and leg warmers. All these can help in providing added protection, and comfort. Plus, they also look cute!

Here are few guidelines on what is the most recommended baby clothing for your child. When they grow a bit older, finding baby clothes for them would now be more fun!
